In the picture above you can see part of the agricultural land located in the area of the settlement Sveti Bartol (in Italian: San Bortolo), which unites several smaller villages. Sveti Bartol it is not an independent unique village, but it is the area belonging to the Motovun municipality.
Historically, agricultural occupations were carried out in that area and various agricultural and livestock products were produced, of which we should single out top quality sausages.
In the area of St. Bartolo, long ago In 1651, the church of St. Bartola was built (a name derived from “Bar Talmaj” and means Talmay's son, while St. Bartol is a folk name for St. Bartholomew, Latin Bartholomaeus. The Church was renovated in 2000. Near the church there is also a local cemetery.
